King of Bakers Bread Show

The Royal Agricultural Society of Queensland presents the King Of Bakers Bread Show as part of the Toowoomba Royal Show.
Show classes include:

Bread – White married, Multi-grain half married, Wholemeal cob, Multi-grain sandwich, French stick, Meal sandwich, White hi-top, White sandwich, White tank, White Vienna, White 4 strand plait, Batched White square hamburger rolls, White half married, White bread rolls, Bun Loaf, Hot Cross Buns, Savoury hospitality bread, Sweet hospitality bread, Pasta dura, Ciabatta, Traditional Sourdough, and the Toowoomba Cup.

Cake – Single sponge, apple pie, vanilla slice, plain scones, swiss roll, mud cake, cupcakes, and novelty cake.

Apprentice Classes – 1st & 2nd year bread and cake, and 3rd & 4th year bread and cake.

Commercial Section – Commercial bread.

Meat Pie – standard meat pie and any other pie.

Sausage Roll – plain sausage roll.

Pastie – standard pastie.

Featured products – Chocolate Lamingtons, Tarte au Citron, and Donuts

The major awards include King of the Bakers Championship, Most Successful Cake Exhibitor, Most Successful Bread Exhibitor, Most successful 1st & 2nd Year Apprentice, Most Successful 3rd & 4th Year Apprentice, Best Speciality Bread, Champion Loaf, Best Commercial Bread, Toowoomba Cup, Feature Product of the Show, Regional Shield, Regional Bread Award, and Regional Cake Award.

The competition is open to trade qualified bakers and pastrycooks, and apprentices. Entry fees are $7.00 for General and Apprentice Classes (Class 7036 is $14.00). Entry is only accepted online at the website listed below.

Judging of the King of Bakers Bread Show is closed to viewers and will take place in the Glenvale Room, Main Administration Building Toowoomba Showgrounds. Once judging is complete the exhibits will be open for viewing prior to the Awards Presentation Night.

REGISTRATION:
Registration of entries will only be accepted here online and close on Thursday 15th February 2024 at 5 pm sharp

JUDGING:
Commences 9 am
Friday 23 February 2024

EXHIBIT DELIVERY:
Exhibits to be delivered to the Glenvale Room, Main Administration Building, Toowoomba Showgrounds, Glenvale Road, Toowoomba, on Thursday 22nd February 2024 from 12:00 pm to 4:30 pm.

AWARDS DINNER:
Friday 23 February 2024 in the Royal Agricultural Society’s Glenvale Room, Toowoomba Showgrounds at 5:30 pm.

$45 per person
