Hi guys this weeks 🥧 review was like going back in Doc Browns time machine once again. For those of you that have followed the page since it’s inception, I visited T & T Hot Bread way back in the beginning but never actually did a full review and shared its story. So I thought it was about time I went back there and visited the gang again and smash some of their glorious 🥧’s

I knew this wasn’t going to be a easy review. Every time I visit this place owners Deano and Tracey throw that many 🥧’s at me, I slip into into a food coma. So I decided to bring in some back up. I needed a heavy hitter someone to take the ball up and share the 🥧 load !!! The bloke to do this was Melb Storm ⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️ contracted player Darryn Schonig. This champion made his NRL debut this year and was more than happy to make his official 🥧 review debut as well.

T & T Hot Bread is a little hidden gem. It’s tucked away right behind McDonalds on the Bribie Island turn off on the Bruce Hwy. Employing 5 staff and open 6 days a week this place is tradie central with tradies making this place there first stop before getting on the tools.

Owners Deano and Tracey have had this place for 6 years and this bakery has been around for over 22 years in total. Deano’s story is remarkable his family lobbed in NZ as refugees when he was just 6. Not long after this Deano was making 🥧’s and learning his trade. !!!!! Over the years Deano has worked in many places coming and going but eventually making his way across the ditch and lobbing at this place.

Now we all know behind every great man is a great women and this women is Tracey. She’s a dead set trooper, often seen out the back prepping and keeping Deano in his toes. Then out the front is son Wilson who overseas everything and keeps this 🥧 factory ticking over.

In the blink of a eye 🥧 debutant Darryn had already smashed 2 🥧’s !!! I knew he was the right man for the job, but It was my turn to step up and get this party started.

The choice of 🥧 for this weeks review was bloody hard !!!! Deano was rattling off 🥧 after 🥧 and in no time had me totally confused. Then something came out of his mouth that well and truly grabbed my attention. Then he mentioned something about 3 curry flavors in the 1 🥧 and boom we had a winner “Chunky Beef Curry”

🥧🥧🥧 THE REVIEW 🥧🥧🥧

1. Value for Money – $5.20 was terrific value for this 🥧. While it wasn’t huge it was a very decent size and a aadequate depth to. 9/10
2. Meat Ratio – Once again it wasn’t completely full but pretty close. Plus this was filled with huge chunks of meat. 8.5/10
3. Meat Flavour – Easily the best part for me. The meat chucks were huge and tender, but the curry flavor was to die for. Deano told me he uses 3 different types of curries in these 🥧’s. The curry flavor wasn’t exactly burning ring of fire stuff but had enough kick to let you know it was there. I loved this flavor !!! 10/10
4. Pastry – The butter flavor was excellent and this 🥧 held together perfectly. Zero issues with this pastry. Overall pretty good. 8.5/10
5. Temperature – absolutely perfect. I smashed this 🥧 is about 4 bites !!! Served at perfect temperature. 10:10

🥧🥧 Overall Rating 46/50 🥧🥧

This chunky beef curry 🥧 was awesome. From the price to the flavor then topped off by the serving temperature everything about this 🥧 was top notch. I’ve gotta give the flavor another special mention. Deano’s 3 curries in 1 is up there with the Colonel Sanders secret herbs and spices !!!

Absolutely everything in this bakery is made by Deano himself !!!! The man is a machine. He’s the only baker in this place and takes pride in every single product he sells especially his 🥧’s !!! The hours he works is ridicules and this family deserves every success that comes their way because man they have earned it.

Deano, Tracey & Wilson once again a huge appreciation and thanks for having me and Darryn in. Your story is incredible and I’m honored to be able to share it with my followers. Also a huge thanks for Darryn for tagging along with me.

When you driving past the Bribie turn off, take the extra 5 mins and pull into this place. The big yellow arch’s may stand out like a sore thumb, but T & T Hot Bread is where the real action is. Trust me this place is quite additive and once you stop here once your car will just drive off the highway and find it’s way here again and again.

Also a big thanks to fellow 🥧 Ologists Kris Bradford and Craig Glew who gave me the tip on this joint. These legends have been coming here for quite some time and know every square inch around this bakery.
