Four Seasons Patisserie & Bakery

A couple of months ago I flew across to Perth to see my daughter Georgia and have a few days of R & R. While I was there I did have a few hours here and there to spare and booking in a few 🥧 reviews was high on that list. The first place on the list was Four Seasons Patisserie & Bakery owned and operated by Andy and his wife Tran.
Andy 🥧 journey started back in 2007 where he learned the art of 🥧 craft in his fathers bakery Byford. Fast forward to the current day and the dynamic duo now run 2 very successful bakeries bakery one in Henderson (4years running) and the other one in Wycombe (6 years running).
His bakery has won more awards than Ben Hur and ? put together and to list them all is way to long and would give me severe writers cramp. Andy’s greatest achievement apart from his beautiful family is being crowned “National Pie Champion” plus being inducted into “The Official Great Aussie Pie Hall of Fame” not once but twice.
It’s a achievement that, to my knowledge no other 🥧 guru has conquered twice.
Once inside the bakery you are not only greeted by all the awards and trophies, but a epic cabinet display which is choc a block full of the best bakery products imaginable. Any Vietnamese bakery wouldn’t be complete without a epic selection of Banh Mi’s and these things are sensational, however I was here for the 🥧’s and I couldn’t wait to get started.
As expected with any award winning bakery the selection on offer is going to be fantastic. You name it’s here, but it was one 🥧 in particular that caught my attention. That was Andy’s “Pork 🥧” this particular 🥧won a major award at last years The Official Great Aussie Pie Competition
and I was keen to give it a proper road test.
🥧 THE REVIEW 🥧
1. Value for Money – $6.80 was awesome value for a 🥧 of this size and diameter. Although pork and garlic mince wouldn’t be considered as gourmet style meat it was still a decent size 🥧 and it was full and very well priced. 9.5/10
2. Meat/Fill Ratio – Totally full, no more could or would have been squeezed into this 🥧. 10/10
3. Flavour – The flavour in this 🥧 was devine. Listen to this – pork mince, peas
thai red curry paste, pepper powder,shrimp paste, lemongrass, garlic mince and herbs. Everyone knows I hate peas, but that didn’t matter one bit as the other ingredients could be tasted with every bite. Each individual flavour was bursting out of this 🥧 and the combinations Andy has used has worked a treat. Great flavour Andy your a 🥧 genuius. 9.5/10
4. Pastry – The pastry in this 🥧 was perfect in every way. From the shape to the bakes everything was spot on perfect. This was a full 🥧 and the stability of this thing was excellent. The pastry flavour in particular was beautiful. Great job. 10/10
5. Serving Temperature – Excellent serving temp. Straight out of the oven into the mouth. 10/10

This was a near perfect 🥧 and one that looked and tasted sensational. $6.80 was great value, the 🥧 was completely full and almost bursting at the seams. The flavour was beautiful, the pastry was perfect as was the serving temperature. I love Andy’s creativity to combine so many flavours and have the confidence to pull it off. This particular flavour wouldn’t be high on my all time 🥧 list, but I’m so glad I gave it a go, it was outrageously good. I’ve gotta give the pastry a massive plug, for me it was the best part of this 🥧. In fact all the 🥧’s I sampled the pastry was spot on. This was an outstanding 🥧 from an outstanding baker.
This bakery should be on everyone’s Perth 🥧 list. Your going to need to spend some time here, as they have won awards for just about every 🥧 flavour possible. There is also heaps of inside seating to sit and relax and a must visit.
A huge thanks to Andy and Tran for having me in. This bakery sells phenomenal products and they have the awards and accolades to back it up. The hours these guys work is nuts, but they rock up every day with smiles on there faces. Andy is a perfectionist and is still has the drive and passion to be the best and make the best products. He’s a true leader in the industry and sets a very high benchmark. One thing is certain Andy is one of the most humble humans I have evet met and it was a pleasure sitting down and hearing and sharing his 🥧 journey. Keep up the outstanding work mate and I will 100% be back into your bakery again.
